Robert Winston, M.D.
Psychiatrist

Dr. Winston has more than 30 years experience in the practice of general psychiatry for adults. His extensive experience is in a variety of outpatient settings with diverse patient populations, treating anxiety, depression, and major psychiatric disorders. After attending UCLA, he received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and completed his psychiatric internship and residency at Harbor UCLA Medical Center.

He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. For 15 years, he was a staff psychiatrist for MCC/CIGNA Behavioral Care, and now devotes his practice to the consultation for medication management and coordination of care with other medical and non-medical providers. Dr. Winston is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA School of Medicine, in the Psychiatry Department, and maintains Professional Staff Association at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center as a Clinical Supervisor. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, and the Southern California Psychiatric Society. Dr. Winston has worked as a consultant to adult/geriatric nursing homes, to developmentally disabled group homes, and in hospital emergency settings. At present, in addition to his work with Gelbart & Associates, he is on the clinical staff at Kaiser Permanente.
