Joshua Lichtman, DO

Dr. Josh Lichtman has been practicing psychiatry for the last decade. He splits his time working at our Redondo Beach office and he spends the other half the time as the medical director of Refuge Recovery, which is a Buddhist Drug Treatment Center in Hollywood. Dr. Lichtman is passionate about mindfulness practice and  psychiatry and is constantly trying to blend the two. He is a board certified adult psychiatrist and although he primarily focuses on psychopharmacology, he is trained in various therapy modalities including CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic therapy, and is curently in the middle of his EMDR certification. Dr. Lichtman is a clinical instructor at UCLA, and has been supervising doctors in training for the last 8 years.
Dr. Lichtman studied physiology while he was an undergraduate student at  UCLA, then received his medical education at Western University  of Health Sciences, then went on to complete his internship  and psychiatry residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Lichtman was named  to the Super Doctor list in  Los Angeles Magazine for 2016 and 2015.
