Asako Kudo-Markert, MFT

Asako Kudo-Markert is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. In her ten years of clinical experience, she has developed a wide range of therapeutic skills to help individuals overcome the obstacles impeding their efforts to lead productive and meaningful lives. Believing we all have the keys within ourselves to accomplish what we want in our lives – whether we are conscious of these or not--Asako integrates classical and contemporary treatments with holistic therapies,

including Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), a body-mind therapy, to help clients discover these keys and free themselves from the emotional charges of their past that threaten their present functioning and well-being.

Asako is experienced in providing therapy for children, adults, couples and families in both English and Japanese. While at Penny Lane Clinic and the Western Regional Asian Pacific Counseling Center, she worked with diverse populations--foster children and families, victims of domestic violence, the underprivileged, the chemically dependent, the emotionally and physically abused—clients of all ages and ethnicities. For all her clients, she brings a positive energy and sensitive bi-cultural perspective. For her Japanese clients, she brings in addition, the rich traditions of her culture and the subtle nuances of her native language.
